In the position of Education Support Teacher (EST) – BLV, you’ll engage in developing and delivering tailored educational programs that meet the unique needs of learners. Collaboration is key—as you will partner with educational teams, families, and community resources to enhance every learner's experience. Your understanding of assessment processes and technology will equip learners with the skills needed for independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive support to educational teams
• Facilitate collaboration with families and care partners
• Utilize assessment tools for student success
• Recommend adaptive technologies for inclusive learning
• Design a supportive, positive learning environment
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in education for blind or visually impaired
• Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate required
• Demonstrated experience with relevant age groups
• Familiarity with the Expanded Core Curriculum
• Capacity to create and assess individualized programs
