Assist special education students as a Co-Teacher. Facilitate growth through tailored learning experiences focused on intellectual, emotional, and social development.
This secondary position aims to advance the educational journey of 6th-8th grade special education students. You will develop innovative lessons and adapt curricula based on individual abilities, ensuring effective learning experiences. Collaborating with IEP and ARD processes is a central component of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create engaging, modified instructional materials
• Support implementation of individualized learning plans
• Participate actively in ARD Committee meetings
• Engage students through diverse teaching methods
• Foster holistic student development and growth
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certification with endorsements in special education
• Strong understanding of special needs education
• ESL certification required; preferred ELA certification
• At least one year of student teaching or internship experience
