Support Cree language and cultural education as a Coordinator with the Flying Dust Youth initiative. Facilitate active engagement and promote cultural connection for families and youth.
As the Language and Cultural Coordinator, you will focus on delivering Cree language programming and facilitating cultural teachings alongside Elders. Your primary goal is to enhance youth participation in cultural ceremonies and seasonal events, fostering a positive identity and resilience through community programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and deliver Cree language initiatives
• Engage youth through land-based cultural activities
• Support intergenerational knowledge transfer
• Organize and assist with community cultural events
• Manage logistics and ensure inclusive programming
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12; post-secondary preferred
• Clean CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid Driver's License
• Deep knowledge of Cree language and traditions
• Experience with youth and First Nations communities
