Early Learning Deaf Interpreter

This full-time role is ideal for candidates who are native ASL signers with lived experience in Deaf culture. You will collaborate with educators and ASL specialists to help learners transition from Educational Deaf Interpreters to Educational Interpreters. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver ASL instruction in various early learning settings
• Support learners in navigating home and classroom cultures
• Collaborate with educators and ASL specialists
• Assist in the transition to Educational Interpreters
Requirements:
• Lived experience as a signing Deaf person
• Native fluency in American Sign Language
• Experience with children and youth education
• Collaborative work ethic with minimal supervision
• Comfortable in virtual learning environments
Utilize your ASL skills and cultural knowledge to empower Deaf learners at APSEA.
