Summer Camp Counsellor Regional Municipality

Responsibilities

• Supervising, and participating in camp-wide programming activities with campers of different ages
• Participate in training workshops held prior to camp sessions
• Working co-operatively with other Camp Counselors to ensure campers are safe, while maintaining adequate health and hygiene measures
• Taking roll call at the beginning and end of every activity
• Building relationships with all campers by showing compassion, empathy and understanding
• Developing and leading programs for youth ages 5-12, related to outdoor education, art, culture, food, and play
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

• Be aged between 18 and 30 years old on the start date of the job
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
