Dalhousie University seeks a part-time academic for SLWK 3220:
Cross-Cultural Issues in Halifax. Engage students from January to April 2027 with your knowledge on marginalized communities.
In this role, you will facilitate in-depth discussions and learning experiences as you teach about cross-cultural issues in social work. The job includes preparing lectures, grading, and student consultations. This teaching position allows you to promote awareness of racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive lectures
• Assess student assignments and provide evaluations
• Assist students with academic inquiries
• Develop course content focused on cultural issues
• Create an inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners
Requirements:
• Master of Social Work degree or higher
• Experience in teaching, preferably online
• Understanding of cultural diversity and inclusive practices
• Ability to implement effective teaching strategies
• Commitment to equity in education
