Simulation- Learning Leader

Position: Simulation-Based Learning Leader IWK Health
Shape the future of healthcare training with IWK Health as a Simulation-Based Learning Leader in Halifax. Guide the development of innovative simulation programs for diverse health professionals.

This permanent full-time position is tasked with promoting excellence in simulation-based education. You will ensure the success of simulation-based programs through effective curriculum development and activity oversight. With your leadership, IWK will enhance emergency response training and patient safety within various specialties, including pediatrics and obstetrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead curriculum development for simulation-based education programs

• Supervise and evaluate simulation activities

• Coordinate training sessions across multiple sites

• Engage with health professionals and students to deliver education

• Collaborate with the Sim Ed Collaborative to enhance educational outcomes

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree and preferred Master’s in a Health Profession

• Current health professional license in Nova Scotia

• Five years’ experience in an educator role focusing on simulation

• Certification in PALS, NRP, or ACLS required
