Key Responsibilities
The Part-Time Academic will teach the one half-credit course, MATH 1280 Engineering Mathematics I, during the Fall Term (September – December 2026). The course is scheduled MWF from 1335 – 1425 and has an additional one-hour tutorial ahead of each lecture.
Responsibilities include course preparation, lectures, grading, and student feedback. The successful candidate will maintain 3 hours of scheduled student hours each week.

Description:
This course is an introduction to differential and integral calculus for Engineering students. All topics of MATH are covered, but in greater depth. In addition, this course covers functions, differentiation of polynomial, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions, product, quotient and chain rules, Taylor series, antiderivatives and definite integrals, Riemann sums, polynomial approximations, and numerical approximations of integrals.
