Position Title: Primary Classroom Teacher

Location: St. Francis of Assisi Elementary, 29 Outer Cove Road, Outer Cove, A1K 4E7

Term: Full-time, September 8, 2026 - June 25, 2027

Job Overview: Responsible for classroom instruction, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and aligning with the eight Standards of Practice for Classroom Teachers.

• Assess, provide feedback, and report on student learning

• Engage professionally with colleagues, families and communities
• Demonstrate planning and implementation of effective and responsive teaching and learning practices
• Provide evidence of shaping a safe and positive learning environment for students and families
• Demonstrate a love of learning and an ability to build learner and leadership capacity
• Provide evidence and understanding of the impact of effective assessment practices

• Bachelor of Education
• NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher
• Appropriate training in Methods
• Equivalencies considered
