This temporary position involves coordinating and delivering programming for children, engaging with the public, and providing essential library services under direct supervision. You'll be pivotal in implementing information technology strategies and assisting branch staff. Interaction with the public and making independent judgments will be key responsibilities, alongside supporting the Adult's Program Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate children's programming services from preschool to Grade 9
• Assist in public library services and reference support
• Operate the circulation desk and handle patron inquiries
• Provide leadership and train branch staff
• Collaborate with the Adult's Program Coordinator
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education (ECE III) or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of experience in related roles
• Strong initiative and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with library’s electronic information sources
• Ability to cooperate with other staff effectively
Elevate children's learning experiences in the community through library programs and services.
