SEND Learning Support Assistant

Enhance learning for children with special educational needs as a SEND Learning Support Assistant in Halifax. This full-time role focuses on supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.

Milk Education is seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants for primary and specialist settings. You will work closely with children to adapt activities for individual needs and promote their confidence and independence. Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

• Adapt learning activities to individual needs

• Encourage communication and independence

• Utilize visual resources and structured routines

• Work alongside teachers and external professionals

Requirements:

• Patient, caring, and resilient demeanor

• Previous SEND or care experience preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Graduates in Psychology, Education, or Health & Social Care encouraged

• Knowledge of PECS or sensory strategies beneficial
