HRCE is hiring a Consultant for Literacy 7-12 in the English and French Second Language Programs, vital for enhancing literacy engagement among students. This full-time role actively promotes inclusivity in our educational environment.
As the largest education center in Atlantic Canada, HRCE serves over 60,000 students across its network of 136 schools. This position, active from September 7, 2026, to July 31, 2027, focuses on implementing high-quality literacy resources for a diverse student body. Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and assess literacy initiatives for Grades 7-12
• Partner with staff to refine educational practices
• Evaluate literacy outcomes and develop intervention strategies
• Champion inclusive, cultural relevance in learning
• Uphold HRCE’s commitment to a diverse workforce
Requirements:
• Background in literacy and secondary education
• Familiarity with bilingual teaching strategies
• Dedication to equity in education
• Strong collaborative skills
• Completion of a Criminal Records Check required
