As a Student Monitor, you will oversee student conduct throughout the school environment, creating a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for learning. Important traits include experience with youth, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and building trusting relationships with students. Familiarity with First Aid/CPR is beneficial for added safety support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise student activities during school hours
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment outside classrooms
• Collaborate with staff to manage student interactions
• Foster positive connections with students in various settings
• Address safety issues constructively as they arise
Requirements:
• Experience in child or youth mentorship roles
• First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset
• Patience and calmness in high-traffic areas
• Ability to effectively engage with large groups
• Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
