French Second Language Educator Position

Embrace a pivotal role as a French Second Language Educator at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. This term role focuses on motivating Grade 7 and 8 students in French subjects.

The HRCE is offering a full-time assignment from September 2026 to July 2027. The educator will teach subjects including FI Math, Science, Social Studies, and Healthy Living, with an emphasis on elevating student engagement. Successful candidates must complete a French Proficiency Interview to demonstrate their fluency in both oral and written French.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct Grade 7 students in FI Math, Science, and Social Studies

• Facilitate Healthy Living education for eighth-graders

• Implement ILT in lesson delivery

• Foster an inclusive and responsive classroom environment

• Evaluate and guide student performance effectively

Requirements:

• Successful completion of the French Proficiency Interview

• Teaching qualifications in French language education
