Lead Composite Technician – Blade Repair in Halifax, NS
Apave Canada is currently seeking experienced Wind Technicians to join our Wind Services Department in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We have full‑time opportunities available for Composite Technicians to support ongoing and upcoming wind energy projects in the region.

- Lead and perform advanced composite repairs on wind turbine blades, nacelles and nose cones (Structural, surface and lightning)
- Supervise and mentor a team of technicians in the field and shop
- Assisting with the setup, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to complete projects and resolve any issues.
- Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine maintenance.
- Staying up to date with the latest wind turbine maintenance techniques and technology.
- Support rigging and platform operation teams.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following certifications and experience.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Travel (including overnight stays out of town) will be required.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in composite repairs,
- Strong Knowledge of composite materials, vacuum infusion, and gel coat application,
- GWO and IRATA certification would be an asset.
- Steel‑toe boots are required; IRISNDT will provide additional PPE.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Health benefits that meet or exceed industry standards will be provided after a 3-month probationary period.
Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.
