Sodexo is seeking a dedicated 2nd Class Chief Power Plant Engineer to oversee the efficient operation of utility distribution systems. You will supervise CHP Operators, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and manage employee relations. Your expertise in energy management and preventive maintenance will directly contribute to operational improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safe operations of Central Heating and Refrigeration Plants
• Supervise and coach CHP Operators and Maintenance Relief Operators
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor energy efficiency and prepare operational reports
• Manage budgets and oversee contractor coordination
Requirements:
• Valid 2nd Class Power Engineer’s Certificate for Nova Scotia
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Previous leadership experience in a unionized setting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office 365
