Position: Chief Operator for Sour Gas Processing
Join a thriving sour gas processing facility as the Chief Operator in northwest Alberta. This full-time role seeks a 1st Class Power Engineer passionate about safety and operation management.

In this pivotal role, the Chief Operator will oversee daily operations, mentor Gas Plant Operators, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards. A proactive approach to maintenance procedures and effective teamwork will be crucial. Candidates must possess strong operational knowledge in gas processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct Gas Plant Operators and enforce safety protocols

• Manage all plant processes and compliance inspections

• Complete required sampling and maintain logs

• Collaborate on Management of Change activities

• Assist management in budget creation and expenditures

Requirements:

• ABSA 1st-class or progressing 2nd-class steam ticket

• Minimum 10–15 years in gas plant roles

• Strong working knowledge of refrigeration and recovery systems

• Familiarity with Emerson Delta-V automation preferred

• Must have valid Class 5 Driver’s License
