Position: Kleinschmidt Mechanical Engineer Role
Location: halifax regional municipality

Join Kleinschmidt as a Mechanical Engineer to develop innovative designs for hydro-electric power plants in Halifax, NS. This full-time role involves office work and client-focused engineering.
Kleinschmidt is looking for a Mechanical Engineer (EIT or P.Eng) with a minimum of four years’ experience. Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and knowledge in mechanical design and machine systems. Your experience will contribute to hydroelectric design solutions while maintaining long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct designs for hydroelectric turbines and complex engineering challenges

• Foster strong client relationships addressing design issues

• Provide consulting services in mechanical design for hydroelectric projects

• Apply FEA and/or CFD techniques when necessary

• Collaborate on designs using Revit and Solid Works
Requirements:

• Authorization to work in Canada is mandatory

• At least four years of relevant engineering experience

• Strong background in hydraulic systems and machine design

• Valid driver’s license required for travel

• Availability for occasional travel to project sites
