Position: Environmental Scientist for Site Investigations
Location: Halifax Regional Municipality

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, to focus on site investigations and remediation initiatives. Engage in practical environmental assessments and valuable fieldwork.

This full-time temporary position involves conducting comprehensive Environmental Site Assessments and managing field operations. You will collect and analyze data, inspect hazardous materials, and coordinate various projects and personnel.

Your role will help mitigate environmental impacts in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

• Manage data collection and subcontractor activities

• Execute assessments of hazardous materials like asbestos and mold

• Collaborate with clients and laboratories for project success

• Prepare technical reports in compliance with policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Management, or related disciplines

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with environmental legislation is advantageous

• Experience in field sampling and data analysis

• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
