What You'll Do

This flexible position combines environmental coordination with project management responsibilities, depending on the candidate’s experience. You will be integral to ensuring environmental compliance, monitoring, and continuous improvement for marine and industrial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Support the end‑to‑end delivery of environmental requirements on all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ISO, and client requirements.
  • Liaise with consultants and lead coordination of environmental monitoring and reporting activities, providing analysis and guidance on results and regulatory implications.
  • Perform onsite environmental work such as sampling, site inspections, compile results, and document opportunities for continuous improvement and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the management of environmental incidents and stakeholder communications, ensuring timely and effective response.
  • Promote a strong culture of environmental awareness and compliance through training and engagement.
  • Provide environmental oversight and reporting to leadership, supporting informed decision‑making.
  • When appropriate, expand scope to include project coordination, permitting and approvals, hazardous‑materials management, and leadership of environmental work streams on complex projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum qualifications:

    engineering technologist (CET) or degree in environmental, civil, mechanical, or related discipline.
  • Ability to perform environmental fieldwork, data collection, and reporting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and analysis skills.
  • Experience in marine, heavy civil, demolition, or industrial environments.
  • Exposure to environmental sampling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, permits, and approvals.
  • Experience supporting project coordination or field‑based project work.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials or industrial environmental programs.
  • Proficiency with Excel, drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD), project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project), and GIS.
  • Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng.) or ability to act as a Qualified Person (QP).
Preferred Experience
  • Leading environmental components or projects or coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting or engaging with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing large‑scale industrial projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and cross‑functional coordination.
