Senior Constructive Designer at Babcock

Serve as a Senior Constructive Designer with Babcock across Victoria, BC, Ottawa, ON, or Halifax, NS, focusing on innovative structural designs for maritime defence. Your skills will directly impact national security solutions.

In this role, you will create structural designs and oversee technical documentation for marine systems. Conducting thorough assessments and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams will be crucial. You will also provide mentorship to junior designers and engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality in designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design solutions for existing submarine systems

• Produce and review technical specifications

• Analyze structural modifications and their impacts

• Check compliance of junior designers' outputs

• Participate in the development of processes to enhance design work

Requirements:

• Engineering technology degree or equivalent

• Registered as AScT, CET, or PEng

• Eight years of relevant design experience

• Expertise in Solid Works and AutoCAD

• Must obtain Canadian Secret Security Clearance
