Step into a rewarding Mechanical Engineer role in an engineering firm focused on hydroelectric solutions. This full-time position, available in either Halifax, NS or Peterborough, ON, requires hands-on design work and problem-solving.
The firm is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer who can tackle complex design and rehabilitation projects related to hydroelectric facilities. You will play a vital role by providing engineering knowledge, refining designs, and supporting projects through all phases, from concept to construction. Your contributions will ensure the reliability and performance of critical water flow structures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in mechanical engineering design and analysis
• Create innovative solutions for mechanical systems
• Design turbines, gates, and pumping systems
• Assist in rehabilitation and new-build projects
• Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, and reports
Requirements:
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or P.Eng license required
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience, hydropower essential
• Experience in integrated design and 3D software
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Utilize your mechanical engineering skills to support and enhance hydropower infrastructure projects.
