You will report to the Resource Planning Manager while contributing to key technical and economic system studies for generation planning and reliability. This role allows you to coordinate studies for new technologies and supports data-driven decision-making. You will also engage in integrated resource planning projects and produce clear data visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain IESO-NS PLEXOS capacity expansion models
• Conduct studies for technology roll-outs and system demand
• Collaborate on long-term integrated resource planning
• Support NPCC and NERC committees with data analyses
• Assist in regulatory submissions through accurate modeling
Requirements:
• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Eligible as Engineer-in-Training in Nova Scotia
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Capability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
Contribute to the energy future of Nova Scotia while gaining valuable engineering experience at IESO-NS.
