Junior Electrical Engineering Technologist

Position: JUNIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST

Junior Electrical Engineering Technologist Job Opportunity Our client is a progressive and locally owned consulting engineering firm specializing in the design of mechanical and electrical building systems. The organization utilizes advanced computer-aided design (CAD) tools and Revit BIM 3D modeling software to deliver efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions. They are currently seeking a Junior Electrical Engineering Technologist to join their growing team.

This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is eager to continue developing their technical knowledge within the electrical engineering field. Responsibilities

Support the electrical engineering team in the preparation of designs for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, voice/data, and life safety systems;

Coordinate with engineers and AutoCAD/Revit technicians for drafting markups, electrical drawing coordination, and preparation of submission drawings;

Conduct site visits and assist with construction reviews of electrical work in progress;

Meet with clients regarding ongoing projects as required;

Participate in ongoing learning and training related to electrical engineering design and Revit software applications.

Qualifications

AutoCAD experience is required;

Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment;

Revit experience is considered an asset;

2–3 years of experience in electrical design and/or construction-related roles is considered an asset.

Compensation & Vacation

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 annually;

3 weeks of vacation.
