Join Natural Forces Solar as a Lead Engineer focusing on solar PV and battery energy storage design. Drive projects from concept to commissioning while collaborating with diverse teams.
As a Lead Engineer at Natural Forces Solar, you will spearhead electrical design for solar PV and BESS projects across Atlantic Canada. This senior role includes ownership of design workflows, managing power system studies, and guiding interconnections with Nova Scotia Power. You will also collaborate closely with project managers and provide engineering support during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design of solar PV and battery energy storage systems
• Own workflow for drawings, specifications, and technical bid evaluations
• Review power system studies and energy resource modelling
• Serve as the technical contact for utility interconnections
• Mentor design engineers and co-op students through projects
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 6+ years of electrical design experience, preferably in renewables
• Knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and IEEE standards
• Familiarity with power system study tools is an asset
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
