Engineering Technologist I Regional Municipality

As a permanent Engineering Technologist I, you will work within the Engineering and Building Standards division. Under the supervision of the Program Engineer, key responsibilities include reviewing plans for compliance and managing construction projects.
Your role impacts municipal development through technical guidance and project oversight, fostering valuable community relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review construction plans and engineering designs for compliance
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings
• Provide technical advice to engineers and external agencies
• Manage pre-construction meetings and stakeholder communications
• Conduct onsite inspections and audits for quality assurance
Requirements:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Technology
• Minimum four years' municipal engineering experience
• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) registration
• Class 3 Blasters License or eligibility
• Basic knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD
