In this pivotal position, you will report to the Commissioning Manager, taking the lead in commissioning and maintaining essential power delivery systems from 600V to 500kV. Your expertise in high-voltage equipment will be critical, and your role will also encompass mentoring junior technologists to uplift their skills and knowledge. A commitment to safety and operational excellence underpins all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise commissioning of high voltage circuit breakers and relays
• Conduct extensive testing and analyze performance metrics
• Promote a safety-first culture among construction crews
• Train junior techs on electrical schematics and risk management
• Implement best practices for maintaining electrical systems
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
• At least 4 years of relevant commissioning experience
• Hands-on knowledge of test equipment in substations
• Familiarity with industry software tools considered a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel required
