Weir Marine Engineering is looking for a Junior Systems/Trials Engineer in Training to support its Naval Engineering Test Establishment (NETE). The role includes assisting in testing and validation of combat systems and managing critical technical documents. Applicants should be willing to deepen their knowledge of system engineering practices relevant to the marine sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and test marine systems
• Verify and validate specifications during commissioning
• Conduct evaluations and testing aboard naval vessels
• Help update maintenance and engineering documentation
• Utilize SharePoint for document management and updates
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent educational background
• Strong ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic knowledge of systems engineering in naval contexts
• Skilled in writing clear technical documents
• Must secure Government of Canada security clearance
