BMT is seeking a Senior Safety and Environmental Specialist to enhance safety and environmental practices within engineering projects. You will lead safety and environmental assessments, manage compliance, and develop mitigation strategies.
Your role focuses on risk reduction and adherence to industry standards, requiring profound knowledge in naval systems and design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the Safety and Environmental Management Plan
• Conduct assessments throughout the design lifecycle
• Identify risks and propose design recommendations
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Present findings to technical and senior management
Requirements:
• Degree in engineering or related field
• 10+ years in safety and environmental engineering
• 5+ years in the shipbuilding industry
• Knowledge of naval systems and marine design
• Eligible for Canadian security clearance
Contribute to engineering integrity and environmental compliance while mentoring future BMT professionals.
