AKA seeks a senior Lead Electrical Engineer and Subject Matter Expert for power systems and microgrids. You will develop technical solutions, support proposals, and lead engineering activities. The work spans switch gear, transformers, protection systems, power distribution, and utility coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop land-based power-system concepts and preliminary designs
Lead electrical engineering from concept through detailed design
Review studies, calculations, specifications, and engineering deliverables
Coordinate customers, utilities, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams
Support commissioning, factory testing, and field implementation
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Canadian P.Eng. designation or eligibility to obtain registration
Significant MV/HV power-systems experience
Knowledge of switch gear, transformers, protection, and distribution equipment
Understanding of codes, utility requirements, and industry standards
Bring senior engineering leadership and MV/HV expertise to develop reliable power systems, microgrids, and project deliverables for AKA.
