Location: Halifax Regional MunicipalityPosition Summary
Under the direction of the Cage management and supervisory team and with the guidance of the Lead Count Room Attendant, this position is responsible for picking up and securing the bill validator drop and/or the table games drop and ensuring its accountability. Must work well within a team, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. He/she will contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all coworkers.
Must respect and adhere to all policies and procedures, regulations and Internal Controls.

Key Accountabilities
Removes cash boxes from slot machinesEnsure that all drops are transferred to the count room areas with a security escortEmpties cash boxes and table game drop boxesTransfers assets to the proper department using proper procedures and attentionParticipates in the physical count of all currency from the casino floor.Loads and balances NRT self - redemption units& performs other drops as assignedVerifies bank receipts.Ensures processing of all drops is completed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with policies and proceduresExemplifies GEM customer service skills and creates Great Experiences and MemoriesDevelops and cultivates healthy working relationships.Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned or directedFinds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious in your demeanorChooses to make everyday a great dayStays focused in order to be thereDelivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their dayEducation and Qualifications
Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!Minimum grade 12 or equivalent is requiredExcellent mathematical skills, including efficient and accurate counting and attention to detail is requiredAbility to work well with others in a team environment is requiredStrong observation skills requiredAbility to grasp concepts quickly is requiredMust have solid interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening skillsRequired to lift up to 25lbs at timesSchedule flexibility is requiredMust have daytime availability (beginning at 7:30am)Completion of Count Room and Cage Cashier training is requiredFinds ways to playChooses to make everyday a great dayStays focused in order to be thereWork Environment Considerations
