Position: Internal Audit & Corporate Finance Co

Essential Duties and responsibilities

:
  • Internal Audit Support:
  • Assist the internal audit team in conducting audits and reviews of financial processes and controls.
  • Prepare and analyze audit documentation and reports.
  • Identify and communicate findings and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Corporate Finance:
  • Support the corporate finance team with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct data analysis and spreadsheet analysis to support financial decision-making.
  • Reconciliations and Tax Compliance:
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Support the maintenance of tax records and documentation.
  • Data Management:
  • Collect, organize, and maintain financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize Excel and other financial software to analyze and report on financial performance.
  • Cross-Departmental Exposure:
  • Gain exposure to various departments and understand their financial processes and needs.
  • Collaborate with different teams to gather information and support financial initiatives.
  • Qualifications:

  • Co-op Student enrolled in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related program.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather information and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Analytical thinker and a team player.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with financial software.
  • Ideally targeting a CPA path
