This role offers hands-on experience in community development and partnership engagement.
As an Economic Development Trainee under YKDFN's Director, you will support initiatives that align with the community's economic development plan. Gain insights into YKDFN governance, while assisting in research, planning, and community engagement efforts. Regular interaction with local stakeholders and businesses will deepen your understanding of economic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing community economic development strategies
• Support meetings, projects, and partnership initiatives
• Engage with community members and stakeholders
• Conduct research on viable economic opportunities
• Promote communications and community support activities
Requirements:
• Recent graduate or student in business or economics
• Combination of education and community experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Access to a private vehicle
• Willingness to travel regularly for duties
Contribute to the growth of the Yellow knives Dene First Nation by enhancing your skills in economic development.
