Nova Scotia Health is seeking dedicated Perfusionists to join our Department of Perfusion Services within the Perioperative Care Division. This role reports to the Health Services Manager and plays a vital part in supporting both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery patients.

Based at the Halifax Infirmary (adult services) and the Isaak Walton Killam (IWK) Health Centre (pediatric services), the department performs approximately 1,100 cardiopulmonary bypass procedures each year—and that’s just the beginning of the impact you'll make.

As a Perfusionist with Nova Scotia Health, you’ll also be involved in:

  • Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy

  • Multidisciplinary support for complex procedures including liver transplants

This is a rare opportunity to work across both adult and pediatric sites, gaining valuable experience in diverse, high-acuity settings while contributing to innovative, life-saving care.
