The Therapeutic Assistant position is a casual, full-time long-assignment role under the Recreation Therapy department. You will assist in delivering health promotion and therapeutic services while enhancing the care plan's effectiveness through teamwork. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of community resources are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support health and therapeutic services for patients
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
• Communicate patient information effectively
• Promote health and wellness activities
• Assist with patient-specific care plans
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and first year of a Therapeutic Recreation program
• Current CPR certification
• Preferred:
St. John Ambulance First Aid
• Preferred:
Non Violent Crisis Intervention certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and community resource knowledge
