Mammography Imaging Technologist

Position: Mammography Imaging Technologist Opportunity
Pursue your passion for patient care as a Specialty Technologist in Mammography at Halifax Shopping Center, with possible shifts at Dartmouth General Hospital and Cobequid Community Health Centre. This full-time position promises engaging work in diagnostic imaging.

Reporting to the Breast Screening supervisor, you will operate radiological equipment and provide expert mammography services. Candidates should possess a degree in Radiological Technology and ideally have experience in the field.

You'll work with in an interdisciplinary team, making independent decisions to ensure quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain radiological mammography equipment

• Provide quality screening services and diagnostics

• Assess patient histories and requisitions with attention

• Position patients appropriately for imaging

• Perform required clerical tasks accurately

Requirements:

• Approved degree in Radiological Technology

• Registration/eligibility with NSCMIRTP and CAMRT

• BLS certification completed in the last year

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Desire for continuous education and training
