As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will support the Pharmacy Manager by preparing and dispensing medications while ensuring patient safety during drug administration.
Your role involves compounding medications, managing inventory, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. You will work closely with pharmacists and automate systems to optimize medication delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dispense medications to inpatients and outpatients
• Compound sterile products safely
• Assist with inventory control and medication audits
• Utilize decentralized medication dispensing systems
• Prepare chemotherapy doses and manage narcotics
Requirements:
• Certified Pharmacy Technician graduate
• Must have licensure from Nova Scotia
• Experience in hospital settings is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Basic typing and computer skills
