In this mandatory casual relief role, your responsibilities will include providing holistic and client-centered interventions aimed at enhancing psychosocial and emotional well-being. You will participate in a dynamic healthcare team while utilizing your knowledge of motivational interviewing and harm reduction practices. Your expertise working with diverse client needs will contribute to better health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs through biopsychosocial evaluations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Implement effective treatment theories and harm reduction practices
• Facilitate supportive group sessions for clients
• Connect clients with local community resources and services
Requirements:
• BSW from an accredited university
• At least 2 years of related clinical experience preferred
• Familiarity with DSM and various treatment theories
• Active registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
• Access to a vehicle and valid driver's license
