Location: Halifax Regional Municipality
Become a vital part of Nova Scotia Health's Clinical Pharmacy team, providing direct pharmaceutical care to patients. This role focuses on medication management and education while collaborating with healthcare professionals.
As a Clinical Pharmacist under the supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, you'll counsel patients, mentor students, and conduct drug utilization reviews. You will also engage in clinical pharmacy research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while ensuring optimal medication safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Counsel patients on medication therapies and adherence
• Monitor drug utilization and assess safety protocols
• Mentor pharmacy students and staff in clinical practices
• Collaborate on clinical research and quality improvements
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Eligible for registration with Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator
• Minimum 2 years of hospital patient care experience
• Proven oral and written communication skills
• BLS certification and knowledge of patient safety
