Permanent, Hourly (80% FTE)
Compensation:  $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Start Date:

07/12
Responsibilities   Ensure complete and accurate booking procedures for elective and urgent surgical patients.
Perform patient scheduling and maintain confidential documentation.
Produce Excel spreadsheets and reports as required.
Collaborate with surgeons’ offices, anesthesia, pre‑admission clinics and leadership staff to coordinate Operating Room/Endoscopy time.
Provide administrative assistance to the PARNS Access Manager and Operating Room Manager.
Attend annual safety training and education related to patient, client and personal safety.
Qualifications   Grade XII.
Graduate of a business, office information technology, medical office assistant, secretarial course or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum one year of related experience in Central Booking processes (including scheduling procedures, physicians, patients and wait‑list management); two years preferred.
Medical terminology course or equivalent required.
Demonstrated experience in report preparation.

Experience with OPOR‑CIS, Novari ATC and PARNS preferred.
Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word.
Ability to organize and prioritize duties.
Fluency in another language an asset;
French preferred.
Consideration may be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in the health/medical field if they meet the minimum requirements.
