In this full-time temporary role, you will report to the Program Manager of the Medical-Surgical and Cancer Care department. With a Master's Degree in Social Work, you will conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis counseling while working in an interdisciplinary team. Your clinical experience will ensure effective resource counseling and discharge planning for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention
• Provide adjustment and supportive therapy to clients
• Oversee case management and discharge planning
• Advocate for clients within the healthcare system
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Registered or eligible for NSCSW registration
• Minimum two years of clinical experience
• Strong counseling and communication skills
• Knowledge of family violence and addictions issues
