About the Opportunity
Nova Scotia Health is seeking qualified Social Workers (BSW & MSW) to fill vacancies across a broad range of program & service areas. Opportunities can be found in communities throughout the province. If you are seeking an in‑hospital role, or an outpatient clinic setting, a vibrant urban community or tranquil rural area, we want to hear from you.
We want to hear from you if you have the following:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work from a recognized university
Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Social Worker required
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Minimum two (2) years of experience required. If not available, candidates with less than two (2) years of experience may be considered for the selection process. If offered employment, they will be placed on the Health Care Social Worker (Developmental) scale.

Compensation and Benefits
BSW Level :
$36.58 - $48.53 Hourly
Developmental (less than 2 years experience) $34.80 - $44.39 Hourly
MSW Level :
Healthcare Social Worker Developmental (less than 2 years experience) $35.83 - 38.79 Hourly
Clinical Therapist $42.21 - $58.30 Hourly
Clinical Therapist Developmental (less than 2 years experience) $35.82 - $47.53 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Hours
Various permanent, assignments (temporary), casual relief (no guarantee of hours), and opportunities available in various locations throughout Nova Scotia.
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
