Nova Scotia Health is seeking qualified Social Workers (BSW & MSW) to fill vacancies across a broad range of program & service areas. Opportunities can be found throughout the province in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings, in urban communities and rural areas.
About You- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work from a recognized university
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW)
- Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Social Worker required; candidates with less than two (2) years of experience may be considered for the selection process
- Competencies in other languages are an asset;
French preferred - Will be placed on the Health Care Social Worker (Developmental) scale if offered employment
- BSW Level: $36.58 - $48.53 hourly (Developmental – less than 2 years experience)
- MSW Level: Healthcare Social Worker $40.18 - $55.49 hourly
- Healthcare Social Worker (Developmental – less than 2 years experience) $35.83 - 38.79 hourly
- Clinical Therapist $42.21 - $58.30 hourly
- Clinical Therapist (Developmental – less than 2 years experience) $35.82 - 47.53 hourly
- Successful candidates may be eligible for a benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan
Various options: permanent, assignments (temporary), casual relief (no guarantee of hours). Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants can specify work hour and location preferences in their application.
