Elevate your career as a Psychologist in the East Coast Forensic Program, located in Central Zone. This full-time role provides a platform for impactful psychological services in mental health and addictions.
You will be instrumental in offering psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapy in both individual and group formats within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Critical functions include evaluating violence risk and cognitive capabilities, as well as participating in expert witness testimony. Your contribution will also support the training of future professionals through practicum supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive violence risk assessments
• Offer personalized psychotherapy sessions for clients
• Supervise and mentor practicum students in psychology
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
• Provide expert testimony before judicial boards
Requirements:
• Accredited PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
• Registered or eligible for registration with NSRP
• Minimum of two years relevant clinical experience
• Background in forensic mental health is an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations
