In this role, you will follow policies while processing prescription medications for inpatients and selected outpatients. Responsibilities also include preparing chemotherapy orders and equipment maintenance, providing an integral part of patient care. Required availability aligns with weekdays, but includes potential weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize and process medication orders using computer systems
• Contribute to collecting Best Possible Medication Histories
• Manage chemotherapy orders with the necessary resources
• Ensure cleanliness of medication preparation equipment
• Conduct checks for accuracy in chemotherapy preparations
Requirements:
• Diploma in Pharmacy Technician plus required certification
• Active registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacy
• 3 to 6 months of relevant pharmaceutical experience
• Capacity for moderate physical effort
• Strong analytical skills and mental effort
Contribute to optimal patient health outcomes as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Wingham.
