Client is seeking expressions of interest from experienced clinicians with expertise in quality improvement, digital health, and artificial intelligence (AI) for the role of Clinical Lead, Digital Implementation of Quality Initiatives.
This position will support the ongoing success of the Evidence2
Practice program, launched in 2022 to help close the gap between clinical evidence and practice through the digital implementation of Quality Standards and clinical practice guidelines across Ontario.
Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, the Clinical Lead will provide provincial-level clinical leadership and strategic guidance for the development, testing, procurement, and implementation of AI-powered clinical decision support tools, with a strong focus on co-design, adoption, and system integration.

Strategic Leadership
- Champion the Evidence2
Practice program with integrity, enthusiasm, and innovation. - Align program priorities with Ontario's Primary Care Action Plan, Digital First for Health strategy, and other key initiatives to drive province-wide impact.
- Act as a clinical ambassador to promote clinician adoption of digital tools.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with Ontario Health programs, the Ministry of Health, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead collaborative work streams to ensure sustainability and scalability of the program.
- Co-design clinical tools with clinicians, patients, and stakeholders to ensure user-centred solutions.
- Guide procurement and product selection decisions for AI-enabled clinical decision support tools.
- Define and evaluate KPIs and metrics to inform continuous improvement and system alignment.
- Lead agile, iterative design and development processes for digital tools.
- Ensure seamless integration of tools into clinical workflows.
- Develop and implement strategies for training, communications, and change management to support broad adoption across Ontario.
- Licensed Physician or Nurse Practitioner in Ontario, in good standing with the CPSO or CNO.
- Minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership role focused on digital health innovation and/or quality improvement.
- Additional academic credentials in Health Informatics, Digital Health, Computer/Data Science, or related fields are an asset.
- Proven track record in digital health innovation and implementation of clinical decision support tools.
- Experience working on regional or provincial-level quality improvement or service delivery initiatives.
- Strong systems-thinking and analytical skills to support evaluation and optimization of digital solutions.
- In-depth understanding of Ontario's health care system and digital health strategies, including:
- Health informatics landscape
- Emerging technologies like AI
- Use of EMRs and other common digital platforms
- Exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong commitment to quality improvement, clinical informatics, and health system innovation.
