At IWK Health, the Clinical Interventionist plays a vital role in the Provincial Preschool Autism Services team. This temporary full-time position supports children ages 0-6 and their families by designing tailored intervention programs and facilitating goal-setting. You will engage closely with families and utilize various intervention frameworks, ensuring effective implementation of strategies aligned with the needs of the children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and determine intervention goals with families
• Develop and coordinate personalized intervention plans
• Supervise Program Implementers for effective service delivery
• Participate in family education and training sessions
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Requirements:
• Master’s in Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
• Two years of experience working with children with autism
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Registration with a professional body in Nova Scotia
• Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license
