Shape recovery journeys with Connections Halifax as a full-time Occupational Therapist. Collaborate with clients and families to enhance functional independence in a supportive community setting.
As an Occupational Therapist at Connections Halifax, you will work under the supervision of the Health Services Manager. This role focuses on community-based assessments and individualized treatment plans for clients facing mental health challenges. Your clinical judgment and strong communication skills will be vital as you manage a busy caseload and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct community-based consultations and assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clients
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students
• Provide education and support to families and caregivers
• Ensure adherence to professional standards and policies
Requirements:
• Graduate of C.A.O.T recognized Occupational Therapy program
• Licensed with College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
• Two years of relevant experience in mental health
• Current CPR certification
• Familiarity with psychotherapeutic approaches
