Join Nova Scotia Health as a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer in Halifax, utilizing echocardiography to assess cardiac health. This role focuses on advanced ultrasound techniques and patient-centric care.
As a full-time team member, you will operate sophisticated echo cardiographic equipment under the oversight of experienced specialists. Your key responsibilities include obtaining detailed cardiac images, assessing hemodynamics, and preparing diagnostic reports for the echo cardiologist. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team across various clinical sites, contributing to quality care and the education of future sonographers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct cardiac evaluations with ultrasound technology
• Record and assess patient data and images
• Assist in echo cardiologist-led procedures
• Document and maintain accurate patient records
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations
Requirements:
• Accreditation from a recognized ultrasound program
• Nova Scotia licensure and valid BLS certification
• Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
• Familiarity with adult congenital heart conditions
• Knowledge of Philips and GE imaging equipment
