Clinical Genomics Technologist

As a Clinical Genomics Technologist I, you will support clinical care by performing both routine and complex testing procedures, such as nucleic acid extractions and next-generation sequencing. You will be integral in preparing cytogenetic specimens and ensuring accurate analyses, following strict quality standards. This is a vital role requiring critical thinking and problem-solving to maintain laboratory operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct molecular genetic testing procedures per established protocols
• Perform genomic analyses and document results accurately
• Prepare and analyze cytogenetic specimens and data
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety standards
Requirements:
• Graduate of a recognized Clinical Genetics Technology program
• Experience in NGS and/or Microarray techniques preferred
• Certification with CSMLS or eligibility required
• Licensure with NSCMLT required
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
